Home saunas are becoming increasingly popular in the Niagara Region — and they require proper electrical work to operate safely. Whether you're installing a traditional barrel sauna in your backyard or an infrared unit in your basement, Powered Electric Niagara handles the full electrical installation from panel to heater, fully permitted and ESA-inspected.
Dedicated 240V circuit — sized to match your sauna heater's requirements (typically 30A–60A)
High-temperature rated wiring for the sauna environment
Disconnect switch installation as required by code
Connection to your existing panel (or sub-panel if needed)
ESA permit and inspection — handled start to finish
Full testing and verification before first use
Traditional saunas use high-wattage electric heaters (typically 6kW–12kW) that require 240V, 30A–60A dedicated circuits with high-temperature rated wiring inside the sauna enclosure. Infrared saunas generally draw less power (1.5kW–3kW) and some smaller units can run on a standard 120V outlet — but larger infrared units still require a dedicated 240V circuit.
During your free estimate, we'll review your sauna's specifications and tell you exactly what's needed — no guesswork, no overselling.
