Why Pool Electrical Requires a Licensed Electrician

The Ontario Electrical Safety Code has very specific requirements for pool electrical. All metal components of a pool must be bonded together to eliminate voltage differences that can cause electric shock in the water. GFCI breakers are mandatory on all circuits serving pool equipment. Outdoor wiring must be rated for direct burial or enclosed in weatherproof conduit, built to handle Niagara's freeze-thaw cycles and lake-effect weather.

Cutting corners on pool electrical isn't just a code violation — it's a genuine danger to anyone who swims in that pool. At Powered Electric Niagara, every pool electrical job is permitted, code-compliant, and ESA-inspected before we consider it complete.

Niagara Weather & Outdoor Electrical

The Niagara Region experiences significant temperature swings, heavy moisture, and intense seasonal precipitation. We use only outdoor-rated components, burial-rated conduit, and wiring methods designed for the specific demands of this climate — so your pool electrical system is built to last season after season.
